Her dentist and hygienist recently noted periapical radiolucencies associated with tooth #30 (mandibular right first molar) on a full mouth set of radiographs. The patient was asymptomatic, but since she was told she may have “infection”, she presented to Dr. Lauren Kuhn Nuth for an endodontic consultation. No follow-up radiographs had been taken since 2017.​

Lauren Kuhn Nuth, DMD, MSD, is a 2017 graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She completed her endodontics certificate and master’s degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2019. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Kuhn Nuth is recognized for her advanced expertise in the field. She has also been appointed as an affiliate assistant professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the Medical University of South Carolina.
